Beneath the Surface

Beneath the Surface is a zine exploring asemic writing through botanical forms, root systems and organic patterns. Using cursive letterforms as image-making elements, the project creates compositions that appear plant-like before revealing themselves as unreadable text. Tropical colors and darker earth tones connect the work to nature while reinforcing the layered quality of asemic writing.
