I’m Dereck Nomar Valdes, a graphic designer from Puerto Rico based in Houston, Texas. My work spans publication design, digital experiences, visual identity and socially engaged projects, often moving between minimal, delicate systems and more vibrant, expressive visual languages.

My approach is rooted in intention, research and clear communication. I’m interested in how design can provoke emotion, hold attention and communicate truthfully through typography, color, layout and material choices. Rather than working within one fixed style, I allow each project’s story, audience and message to guide the visual direction.
